I don’t just remove fat; I first carefully analyze which layers of tissue are affected, how elastic the skin is, and whether additional skin tightening or the use of radiofrequency technology would be beneficial.

When is neck contouring recommended?
A double chin can have many causes: genetic predisposition, weight gain, age-related changes in the skin, or weak neck muscles.
Chin correction is the right choice if:

Before treatment, we’ll have a detailed consultation to discuss your goals and what’s realistically achievable. I will carefully analyze your chin and neck area—examining the distribution of fat tissue, skin quality, and skin elasticity—and create a personalized treatment plan. You will also receive all the important information about the surgery, anesthesia, and how to best prepare.
What to keep in mind before the procedure:
- Avoid blood-thinning pain relievers such as aspirin and ibuprofen for 10 days prior
- No alcohol or nicotine

Neck contouring is performed on an outpatient basis at my office—in a calm, comfortable atmosphere. For maximum comfort, I recommend undergoing the procedure under twilight sedation.
I make tiny incisions of just 2–3 mm in inconspicuous areas—for example, under the chin or behind the ears. Using fine cannulas, I first inject a special solution to prepare the tissue, and then gently suction out the fat cells. The scars usually heal very well and are barely visible after a while.
The use of modern technologies such as radiofrequency can further enhance the results. Radiofrequency stimulates collagen production and reduces skin sagging through controlled heat.
The entire procedure takes 45–60 minutes. I’ll guide you through every step and make sure you always feel well taken care of.
After the Procedure: Aftercare & Healing Process
Immediately after the procedure, you can rest for a short while at the clinic. You will receive information on aftercare and will wear a light compression bandage for a few days to aid healing and minimize swelling.
Mild swelling and bruising around the chin and neck are normal and will subside within the first few days. A slight numbness in the treated area is also not unusual and will disappear over time.
Your Recovery Guide: Tips for Optimal Healing
- Get plenty of rest during the first few days—treat yourself to a little time off!
- Be sure to wear the compression garment as recommended.
- Avoid strenuous exercise and saunas for 3–4 weeks.
- Light physical activity is possible again after about 1 week.
- Avoid exposing the treated area to intense sunlight for several weeks.
Recovery after submental liposuction is usually brief and uncomplicated. The exact healing process depends on individual factors such as skin elasticity, age, and lifestyle. Generally, patients can expect to return to work after 2 to 5 days. The final results are visible after about 2 to 3 months and continue to improve in the months that follow.

Yes, the results are generally permanent, as the fat cells that are removed do not regrow. Nevertheless, it is important to maintain a stable body weight: significant weight gain can lead to new fat deposits, even in the treated area. The natural aging process and changes in skin elasticity can also affect the results over time.

The incisions are very small (2–3 mm) and are made in inconspicuous areas.
