Upper Eyelid Lift in Vienna
Fresh. Alert. You.

Do drooping upper eyelids make you look tired, even when you’re not? An upper eyelid lift opens up your eyes and restores your natural freshness—without looking artificial.

Treatment Duration:approx. 1 hour
Socially Presentable:after 1 week
Cost: from 2500 €

Not all Upper Eyelid Lifts are the Same

An upper eyelid lift, also known as blepharoplasty, involves more than just removing a little skin. The key is in the details: the result should look completely natural, without appearing “done” or creating hollow eyes.
Each procedure is adapted to the individual’s anatomical features, as no two eye areas are alike. Lifting drooping eyebrows and diagnosing ptosis (weakness of the eyelid muscle) can also contribute to achieving a harmonious overall appearance.
The goal of eyelid correction is to make your eyes shine and give you a fresh, lively expression without altering your natural beauty.

When is an Upper Eyelid Lift advisable?

An eyelid lift is a minor but effective correction if:

  • You look tired or exhausted even though you feel fit.
  • Your field of vision is restricted.
  • You want your eyes to look more alert.

Drooping eyelids, also known as hooded eyelids, can be caused by various factors. Over time, the skin loses elasticity and the muscles weaken. Excess tissue can then make the eyes look tired and may even restrict your vision. However, this problem is not always age-related; congenital ptosis, asymmetrical eyelids or protruding fat pads can also make the eyes appear smaller or more tired.

I will tailor the procedure to your individual situation to achieve a harmonious and natural result.

Eyelid Lift: What to Expect

Before Surgery: Consultation & Planning

Before the procedure, we will have a detailed consultation to discuss your wishes and what is realistically possible. I will carefully analyse your eye area and create a personalised treatment plan perfectly suited to you. You will also receive all the important information about the operation, anaesthesia and how to prepare optimally.
What you should keep in mind before surgery:

  • Avoid blood-thinning painkillers such as aspirin & ibuprofen 10 days before the operation.
  • No alcohol & nicotine.
  • On the day of surgery: come without makeup, creams, and in comfortable clothing.

During Surgery: Gentle & Precise

The eyelid lift is performed on an outpatient basis at my practice. Here you can relax in a calm, pleasant atmosphere while I take care of the desired result.
To ensure that you do not feel anything, the skin is first numbed with a local anesthetic; twilight sedation is also available on request. I then make a fine incision in the eyelid crease so that the scar is almost invisible later on. I remove excess skin or fatty tissue and tighten the muscle fibers if necessary.
After 45–60 minutes, everything is complete. You’re in the best hands – I will guide you step by step and make sure you feel safe and well cared for.

After Surgery: Aftercare & Healing Process

You can rest for a while in the practice immediately after the procedure. Cooling compresses will be applied to your eyes to minimise swelling. Once I have checked that everything is fine, you can go home.

It is normal to experience slight swelling and bruising after the operation, as well as a slight feeling of tension in the first few days. A dry feeling in the eyes is also not unusual — moisturising eye drops can help. The fine sutures will be removed after 5–7 days, and the scars will heal almost invisibly within the eyelid crease.

Your Recovery Guide: Tips for Optimal Healing

  • Get plenty of rest and avoid strenuous activity—treat yourself to a short break!
  • No sauna or sports for 1–2 weeks.
  • Avoid strong sunlight for 3 months to prevent dark discoloration of the scars.
  • Do not apply eye makeup again until the wound has completely healed.

After about one week you’ll be ready for everyday life again – the final result is visible after approx. 3 months.
